HOME canvas-CE daily

Hi fellow crafters...
It's Nanné here to share a fun mixed media style canvas I created focusing on the new HOME chipboard letter set...
Here is the canvas I created:
I started with two 6x6 canvas's and glued them together, but keeping them offset..  I then added some gesso, stencil and textured paste.. added my chipboard elements , which some I painted white, some green and others brown..

I added lots of chipboard goodies to my canvas..
The flourish that runs on the top and on the bottom of my canvas is a frame.. which I cut into a few pieces.. I also added the keyhole and key, loved the end result and how it looked on the canvas.. adding some flowers, leaves and art stones..

I really like the pipe elements and thought those would look good on the canvas, cause he have those running along the outside of our house, for water drainage.. trying to mimic my home :)
I also added some photo corners to my canvas, which again is a small frame that I cut up into four pieces..

Thank you for stopping by today.. Till next time..
Hugs
Nanné

Seabreeze-large tag-CE daily

Hi fellow scrappers.. I'm here today to share a nautical/beach themed large tag that I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments....

These large tags are amazing to create with and so much fun to add different types of media to..   I used some of my left over chippies from previous project which is such a great way to use up what you have left that you might not be able to get a big project done..

I was able to add lots of layers to my tag.. started off with a stencil and textured paste, then I added some of my favorite chipboard elements to my tag.. the fish net looks so real :)

I wanted to create a focal point in the middle of my tag, so I layered some chippies on top of my corrugate cardboard base. Added some art stones by Prima marketing to resemble pebbles or could  even be bubbles..  These tags are only limited by your imagination.. Go crazy, its what I did and I loved every minute of it..  I kept telling myself this was art and that it didn't have to make sense..LOL

I used some of my left over mini circle panel pieces, which I only had a few left, so this was the perfect project get those used up..

I tucked some of the torn fishnet chippies behind my center focal point, painted it brown, sprayed it with teal spray and then dry brushed them with gesso..  which is pretty much the technique that I did through out my tag..

I also wanted to add some tropical themed flowers to go with my theme.. Used Purple and white flowers..
There you have my fun artsy large tag..  It was great to step out of my comfort zone of creating scrapbook layouts and just have some fun with different chippies.. I can't wait to create another one :)
thanks for stopping by today and checking out my project..
till next time hugs
Nanné

Beautiful Day-July challenge reveal for CE

Hi everyone.. So glad you stopped by to check out our July challenge post for Creative Embellishments.
I was lucky enough to spend the Fourth of July with my husbands family a few years back up in Iowa, we were amazed at the air show.
here is the layout I created:

I used Bo Bunny papers for my layout, love the happy whimsy prints and colors..

I also created some extra large paper clips using some of the star (stars frame) chippies, they can be removed and used in my planner :)

I also used one of the flourishes and added it to a large star, to create my embellishment for the bottom of my layout..

I cut the circle frame (Out of this world frame) in half, glued papers to the back and attached them by tucking them behind my photo mats and to finish off my layout, I added the "Beautiful Day" title to the top.. Because it truly was a Beautiful Day..
