Best Friends - CE daily

Hi fellow scrappers..
I'm here to share a mixed media style layout I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments using some of the great chippies from the Creative Embellishments store.. Unfortunately we had small casualty during the creation of this layout, I ended up decapitating a unicorn for my layout :) LOL
Here is my layout:
*My daughter loves her horses (she actually does not own one of her own), but frequently rents a horse.. Which means, she is responsible for that horses well being and she goes to the stables on a daily basis.. Proud mom moment for sure..
I adore the Best Friends border words, I used the "best friends" for the bottom of my layout..
How about a few close ups and some details:

for the background, I used a stencil and some texture paste, lots of inks in several colors and used the distressed Script stamp for some added detail.. I also love the wood veneer leaves and wanted to show case those on my layout.. Flowers are all by Iamroses..
I also used the picket fence chippie, by cutting it in half and painting it white, tucking half behind both photo mats.

I love art stones by Finnabear, I colored some using green paint mixed with a little bit of water and the flat back pearls I colored with copic markers to match my layout..
Thank you for stopping by today.. Till next time.
Hugs!

Adore-CE daily

Hi fellow scrappers..  I'm here to share a cute layout I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments using some of my favorite 7Dots papers and of course, Creative Embellishment chippies and stamps..  I decided to use a photo of my daughters adopted fur ball and came up with this design:

I used lots of fun chippies to create my layout and for the background, I used several background stamps by CE:

She is just such a special pup, sweet as can be..
All of the chipboard elements I colored using my black Archival ink pad.. I just rubbed it all over the chippies and then rubbed a little blue Inka gold paint on the edges..

I added the crown because her name is Princess :)
The little bubble panel I cut up into a few pieces, tucked it behind my papers. Added a few white flat back pearls which I colored with my copic marker to match my colors..

All of the flowers and leaves I used are Petaloo and I am roses..

Thank you for stopping by today..
Till next time
hugs

May challenge reveal-Creative Embellishments

Hi fellow scrappers..
I can not believe we are already in May of this year.. Its just crazy how fast time flies.. But with a new month comes a new photo inspiration challenge for us girls over at Creative Embellishments and this month it was pretty fun..

I decided to scrap an older photo of my son Adam and I as we were celebrating Mayday back in 1998 if I remember correctly.. It's funny to see him being so small since now a days he is pushing 6 ft..LOL

Here is my take on this months challenge:

Here is our inspiration photo:

No automatic alt text available.
Lots of fun colors and images to choose from..

I actually chose to use the music and the hearts for my inspiration, so I used the "Make your own music" stencil and some textured past to create my background, also using the Distressed Script stamp and my black Archival ink pad by Ranger..

here you can get a better look at the musical notes I added with the textured paste.. I decided to keep them white, since they pop better off of the background paper.

I added some hearts here and there, plus the words Live, Love and Laugh from the Happy Word set to my layout..

I used the Musical notes border chippies to add a border to my layout.. It's a two piece set, so it can be tucked under your photo with ease.. I rubbed with distress ink in Evergreen Bough, which is the ink that I rubbed in the background along with Vintage photo..
added some of the smaller hearts from the Heart set to this corner of my photo and all of the flowers and leaves that I used are by I am Roses..

thank you for stopping by today and checking out my layout
do stop by Creative Embellishments and join our challenge this month..
there are some amazing prizes to win :)
Hugs
