Learn and Embrace-CE daily

Hi everyone...
I am here to share a layout I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments and as a guest designer for CSI's case file no 213.

For my layout, I used a photo of my daughter at one of her first contests.. This is definitely a "learn, work hard and you will embrace your out come" moment for her..
I found some amazing chipboard elements in the Creative Embellishment store, I absolutely love those skeleton leaves and of course, the words with such elegant fonts.

I was trying to keep the colors minimal for the background so decided to go with the blue and then white, adding some texture paste and paint splatters.  Finally adding some little detail with a crackle stamp, using Fern Green Archival ink pad..

The flowers I used are by Prima and by I am roses..

Picture Perfect Birthday shaped card-pppr daily

Hi fellow crafters..
I'm here today to share a fun shaped card I created as my design team project for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons using one of the camera's from the Vintage Camera cutting files..

Here is the card I created:

shaped cards are pretty simple to create using the Silhouette software.. You only need to add a few shadows around it, then flipping one image and welding them together to create the card base..
I am sure some of the other Electronic paper cutter software's share a similar feature..

I found some free fonts on my computer that I used to create the sentiment..

I was going for the flash of the camera flash using the Superhero words cutting file and
then editing the text..

and there you have a quick and simple, yet fun shaped card :)

Thanks for stopping by today

CDD daily - Planner page

Hi everyone..
It's Nanné here to share a fun fall themed planner spread I created using some of my favorite papers, stamps and dies.
How easy it is to get your planners looking fall fresh :)

I used the Garden Cuties, Autumn Wishes, Bring on the Cake and Market place stamp sets along with the pocket pieces Hi and Hello die sets to decorate my planner page..

I added lots of fun details with some of my favorite papers, I then stamped the days of the month using the Bring on the Cake stamp set.. The numbers were a perfect fit..
Fall is coming and I absolutely love sunflowers, so what a wonderful excuse to stamp some on my page..

I think the two cuties on the Garden Cuties stamp set are adorable.. I masked off the square with post it notes and was able to keep my stamped image inside of the square box..

here are the stamps and dies I used to create my planner spread:

Garden Cuties                      Autumn wishes                Market place

Bring on the Cake                    Pocket pieces HI                Pocket pieces hello

and there you have my fun planner layout..

Grease Monkey junk journal-CE daily

Hi fellow crafters..
It's Nanne here to share a junk journal I created with some cardstock, chippies, paints and inks..    I have two boys who work for their dad as auto mechanics and I have lots of photos of them working with their dad at his shop the last 6 years or so..   When I seen that their were all of these gears and tires in the Creative Embellishment shop, I new I had to create a junk journal where I could keep their photos and then do some short journaling since I'm not a big journal person..  And because its for my guys, I was really trying to keep it masculine :)
Here is what I created:
junkjournal
I was able to create lots of texture using different media for the background then added the pipe work chippies, Car parts (tires) and plate, plus I wanted a title for my junk journal, which was great using the basic alphabet chippies for that.. they were the perfect size..   My journal measures 5x7 and I added lots of white cardstock pages inside to hold photos and journaling..

junkjournal1
This is my oldest son Aaron giving me the goofy eye ..LOL  I also took a few of the screws and a gear attaching them to paper clips to add as page holders.. This way, I can always keep track of where I am in the journal.. All of the pages are full of photos of my boys, of their dad and the shop.. I have not journaled yet, I will sit down one day with a hot cup of coffee and just go at it and I will add some non bulky embellishments to the journal, since its a bit bulky as it is :)
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my junk journal of sorts :)
till next time

Happy Planner DIY stickers: PPPR daily

Hi fellow crafters..

I bought a Me and My Big Ideas (aka MAMBI) Happy Planner to try to get myself organized and let me just say that once I started decorating the pages, I just could not stop..
Not sure if you are like me and you don't want to have the same stuff as everyone else. .You want to be an original, you want your planner to be a sign of your creativity..

So, I sat down and opened up my Silhouette software one evening.. Grabbed a cup of coffee and just started playing with some of the cute images from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store.. I wanted a fall theme planner spread, so I knew Lisa had the perfect images for me to create my very own stickers.. yes, you read that right.. I actually created my own stickers to decorate my planner week with..

Here is what I created:

I used digital scrapbook papers to create the pattern pieces and then added images to print and cut to create the squares and the border for the bottom of the spread.. I used my Silhouette Cameo and the designer edition software to create my stickers..

for the left side, I created a meal plan list and then wanted to decorate it with pumpkins and fall leaves..

For the right side, I added some Autumn word art along with some fun stickers to keep track of my daily doings..

Here are the files I used to create my Planner spread:

Cherish Time- Mixed media canvas-CE reveal

Hi fellow scrappers..

I'm here today to share a project  for the Creative Embellishments monthly challenge..  We have a wonderful photo inspiration challenge for you that Creative Embellishments posts on the 1st of every month.. We find inspiration in the photo to create our projects, plus there is a twist to the challenge.. The twist to this months challenge is to use a clock..

Here is the project I created for our challenge:

I decided to use these little canvas's I have been holding onto..
They measure about 4x4.

This is a gift to my mom who actually claimed it as soon as she seen it..LOL she gave me no time to even think of actually keeping it for myself.. but I did create it with her in mind..

How about a few close ups:

I decided to create the time piece in the middle of the canvas's.  These are 4 separate pieces to the canvas, so most of the gears are over lapping to create an illusion of working gears..

I used a Tim Holtz stencil on the edges of the canvas, they used paint sprays to color everything

using some rub and buff on edges.. dry brushed white paint here and there to help get the chippies and flowers to pop off of the canvas.

I took the 5" clock piece and cut into four pieces, which I then attached to my canvas.
Flowers are by I am roses and the green dots are by Doodlebug Designs.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you like my canvas..
Do stop by the Creative Embellishment store and check out what amazing chipboard elements she has and the prices are incredible..
till next time
hugs
Nanné
