You Old Goat- PPPR reveal

It's another Wednesday reveal for us ladies over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon.
I've been absolutely dying to use some of the fun farm animals in the Farm Critters cutting file..  I decided to use the goat and created a birthday card for my hubby..LOL  He'll be 45 in July and this will fit him perfectly... I always tell people that I live with 3 little pigs and an old goat..LOL

Here's my card:
Teee Heee Heeee...
The card measures 6x6

How about some close ups:

Isn't he adorable...
His fleece is actually a dark brown and gave him a birthday hat which is from the Make a Wish cutting file and a balloon from the Birthday Panda Cutting file..

The sentiment is a free font I have in my SIL software, I printed it onto the label which is from the Layered Labels 1 cutting file.. I added the faux stitching by adding an extra layer using the "offset" in the SIL software, then editing the solid line and making it a stitched line and adding the white border..

Aaaaw, check out that adorable face..  I tried to make it look like the goat was holding the balloon in his teeth :)

for supplies used:

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette Designer Edition
Canon home printer

White cardstock
Digital papers

Free font
white marker
foam tape
distress ink: Brushed Corduroy

Project Life challenge- Butterfly

Wowzah! Is it Monday already?.. Boy, that weekend just flew by didn't it.. Oh well  :)  On a happier note, its another Project Life reveal for us girls over at S.O.U.S and for today's challenge, we were asked to use a BUTTERFLY on our spread..  I decided to use that as a theme for my PL spread..

Here is what I created:

remember to click on the photos to make them bigger..

So, I started my diet the week before last or should say, I took it seriously that week and kept at it..
We had a very nice day Thursday and I put my walking shoes on and went on a very long walk.. My lungs were screaming for help when I got home, a hour and half later..LOL  Not to mention all my muscle (not that I actually have any) were twitching..LOL

How about some close ups:

I snapped a photo of myself while I was walking and then another one the next day while I was sitting at my computer.. so, that pic is a bit blurry (hides the wrinkles..LOL)  I also snapped a pic of the chicken cesar salad I had for dinner that night..

Such a bad glare from the plastic sleeves :)  I also made some chicken noodle soup and I had some photos of my two boys making their plates..  I journaled about our pets begging for scraps which they do often..

and I had to add a photo of our cat pointing out the chicken soup..LOL
He wouldn't leave me alone as I was trying to take photos of the spread...

My son Adam with one of our fur babies standing close by in case he accidentally drops a crumb..

My son Aaron not sure if you can see , but the cat has stretched himself up his leg, hoping for scraps..
They are such little beggars.. LOL

Filofax tabbed card- Word Art die cut challenge-SOUS

TGIF! and best yet, its the first Friday of Spring :)..
I bought myself a filofax organizer a few weeks back and I'm having such a good time coming up with all of these fun inspirational tabbed cards to help me lose weight.. Yup! I've packed on the pounds the last few years, I think it started when my dad passed away.. Not that I ate more, but just fell off the healthy truck and started eating fatty foods, maybe it was a sorrow thing.. who knows..LOL
But anyway, I have designed my own Weight Watchers points sheets and printed them A5 size to fit my Filofax and for todays' challenge, I decided to create an inspirational tabbed card to keep in front of my WW sheets.. To help me keep myself on the right track..

Here is what I created:

This is what it looks like when I open up to the right page:
Can't help but have that point you in the right direction..LOL
How about some close ups:

I popped some of the words off the page using foam tape..
and I printed the black outline along with the cuts to help the fonts stand out..

Decided to use some arrows to add some embellishments.

Here you can see the dimension..

Here are the WW sheets I created:

created those in the SIL software :) Its a print only..
Its not just for die cutting ya know..LOL

and I also created a fun inspirational page using some free fonts in the SIL software..
The original idea came from Pinterest, seen a great pin with this saying on it:

This was a print only.
I'm at the end of week 3 and so far, lost over 6 lbs...
Gotta start somewhere..Go me!!

For supplies used:

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette designer edition software
Canon home printer
Filofax-organizer

SIL cutting files:
Free fonts
Frame: could not find

White cardstock
foam tape
Crop-a-dile hole puncher

oh and before I forget, we have a GREAT sponsor this month for our challenges, so do stop by SOUS and play along with us girls so you have a chance to win win win...

and there you have it..
A fun and inspirational way to add some detail to your daily organizer..
Till next time..

Just For Kids-Blog Hop-PPPR

Welcome to the JUST FOR KIDS-Blog hop !!

If you came here from MELISA'S blog, you are in the right place.. If you just stopped by and want to join the hop, please start HERE..

Us girls were asked to create a "Just for kids" project using the cutting files from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon store..
I decided to create a two page layout, haven't done one those in a really long time.. Now my only problem is to hunt down the photos.. I know which ones I want, but where are they is the question..LOL

Here is what I created:

I apologize for the lighting.. tried my best :(
I used the "Nuts and Bolts" cutting file for the title.. I decided to add a few more nuts and bolts, to spread them out all over the layout, which is possible since the cuts are layered..  The cute robots are from the "Robots" cutting file..

The layout will have photos of my family on it.. I used three little robots to represent my kids and then the two bigger robots to represent my hubby and I  :)

How about some close ups:

Super cute.. Love the colors I chose to use.. I also added some fun detail with a fine tip black marker..
I attached the die cuts using foam tape..

Love this cute little guy..

I look good..LOL

and there ya have it fellow hoppers..

for supplies used:

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette Designer Edition
Canon home printer
White cardstock

Cutting files:

Black marker
foam tape
distress ink: Bundled sage, faded jeans and brushed corduroy
Chalks and chalk applicator

Attitude: Sketch Reveal SOUS

Hey Hey Hey fellow scrappers..
It's time for another Friday sketch reveal for us girls over at SOUS..
This week's sketch was designed by our very own Leah and it was sooooo much fun to play with..
I decided to go masculine and grabbed some photos of my oldest son Aaron..
Here is what I created:

I wanted to create a layout of a 20 year old boy and I think I succeeded..LOL  and I've been dying to try a little mixed media and it was so much fun to get messy..LOL

How about some close ups:

The title is a free font I found online..
You can also see the splatters of blue glimmer mist..

My son being goofy, like his mom..LOL  I added some gears and film strips.. The gears I created with my Cameo and cut them twice, once out of chipboard and then again in colored cardstock to cover up the chipboard.. inking the edges!!

More chipboard gears and then my stars.. I first cut them with my Cameo and then ran them through a corrugating machine thingy.

I also added some deko-paste and then used my brick wall stencil.. I mixed red paint in with the deko-paste and then applied onto the cardstock using the stencil :)

for supplies used:

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette Designer Edition
Canon home printer

Die cuts:  SIL store
film strips
gears
starts
arrows
chain border
Polaroid frames
punched paper edge border

white cardstock
Glimmer mist: blue
deko paste
brick wall stencil
distress ink: black, old paper and fired brick

Faber Castell Gelato's (inking edges of layout)
foam tape

and there ya have it fellow crafters.. My fun yet masculine layout for todays reveal..
Now, we have a fantastic sponsor for the month of March and it is:
so do stop by SOUS and play along to have a chance of winning this months give away
