Big Boys at Play-Sketch reveal SOUS

Wooo Hooo it's finally Friday and I get to share this layout I created for our sketch reveal over at S.O.U.S..
Our Leah is designing the sketches for this month and I had so much fun with this one..  I decided to scrap a few photos from last Saturday night when we all went bowling..  Had loads of fun :)  My legs and arms were killing me a for a few days afterwards, but it was well worth the pain..LOL

Here is my take on today's sketch:

The lighting is so bad here in Finland this time of year.. We only have sunlight from 9am till about 4:30pm, after that we live in darkness.. But the good news is, right after Christmas we start heading towards lighter days, slowly but surely :)

How about some close ups so you can see the details better:

made my own word blurbs..

bad photo of my hubby bowling..LOL  It was dark inside and I was taking photos with my phone, but its the memories that count..

I'm not convinced with this bowl sign..LOL

bowling pins and ball, plus another word blurb I designed..
oh and the those words on the photo frames are welded to the frame..

"Lets bowl, lets bowl, lets Rock-n-Roll!"..LOL

here's a side view, hope you can see all of the layers..

and finally, my son Aaron getting ready to take his turn..

For supplies used to create this layout:

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette Designer Edition
Canon home printer

white cardstock
digital papers: Echo Park "Note to self!"

Project Life Challenge reveal: Add Glitter

Good Morning to all of you paper-holics..LOL  Yeah, I belong to that group as well  :)  but with all of those amazing papers we hoard, be it actual paper or digital prints, We get lots of scraps that are left over from various projects and what a way to get rid of some of those paper scraps is by starting on your Project life album?..  I created my own Project Life cards using the Silhouette design software.  Nothing better than grabbing a hot cup of coffee and designing a little sum-thing, sum-thing after a hard days work..
So, for todays Project Life challenge our Leah over at SOUS asked us girls to use GLITTER on our page.. I decided to use the week my son had his knee surgery and then some of those adorable die cuts from the Cricut's Dr.Checkup cartridge..  I also grabbed a few bottles of Stickles and add a few drops here and there to make sure I had the GLITTER part covered..LOL

Here is my page:
not the best photo, we are having a storm today and the sun has hidden itself far behind the clouds.. So sorry about that..

How about some close ups:

my sons photo will go here..

created my very first cut out card .. Cut the  word "Wednesday" out by cropping it..

I wheeled him around in a wheel chair while we were in the hospital.. Three visits before the actual surgery.. Tests, tests and more tests..

ok fellow Project Lifer's.. Now its just turn to head on over to SOUS and join our PL challenges.. Super fun and super easy challenges to get your craft on...
Hope to see you there..

Movie Night-SOUS die cut reveal-FOOD

Hellooooo fellow crafters...
So glad you stopped by today to check out what I've created for our die cut reveal over at SOUS..
As most of you know, us girls love to create projects that inspire you to crafty.. Our Leah created todays challenge and with Thanksgiving just around the corner for our fellow crafter's that live in the States, she decided to do a FOOD challenge.. This challenge is open to ALL interpretations of FOOD, not just your Thanksgiving feast..
I decided to scrap a photo of my boys when they were younger and we went to watch a movie at our local Mall.. I'm thinking it was one of the Harry Potter movies, but its been so many years now that I can't be for sure :)
Oooooooh and I took out my Cricut Imagine for this layout and used the images from "Country Fair" and "Sweet Shop".. My poor girl's been just sitting here collecting dust since I got the Cameo, but I really wanted to use my Imagine for this layout, plus those cuts are way too cute not to want to use them..  :)
Sorry, I'm a yapper..LOL

So, here is my take on today's challenge reveal:
I wanted to use a different color palette than just your typical reds and whites for the pop corn box..
The photo of my boys isn't a real good one, its cause I took it against the window and the light reflected back to my camera :(

How about some close ups:
These close ups were taken before I added the photo of my boys..

love this pop corn box from the Country Fair cartridge..

the cute lollipops (sweet shop cart) and the film.. The film is a SIL image..

small pop corn boxes, lolly's in a candy bag and a few film rolls..

Who doesn't eat chocolate at the movies?..LOL

for supplies used:

Cricut Imagine
Cricut Craft Room

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette design edition
Canon Printer

White cardstock
Digital papers: Everyday Moments
(Sweet Shoppe Designs)

distress tool
distress ink: Brushed Corduroy
foam tape
chalks
white liquid pearls
white marker

Die cuts:
Cricut:
Lollipops, Candy bag and chocolate bars:  Sweet Shop
Popcorn box:  Country Fair

Silhouette store:
Film rolls, Film strips and border

Give Thanks Blog Hop-PPPR and Peachy Keen Stamps

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon and Peachy Keen stamps have combined their amazing products for our "Thankful!" blog hop..

For my project, I decided to create a little home decor project to display on my kitchen hutch.  I love Autumn because of all the amazing colors, plus pumpkins and acorns and leaves, oh my!!

So, this is what I came up:
How cute is that?..LOL  and check out that toofy smile :)
I filled this paper basket with lots of Autumn goodies..

I took one of the pumpkins from the "Pumpkin Patch" cut file and decided make them 3D.. It was super easy and so much fun..  I cut 6 in total per pumpkin, 3 facing left and then flipped 3 to the right.. I created a fold in the middle, then gluing them back to back.. because both sides are different, you will need to switch between the left facing and right facing till you notice the last one will match, just glue together and there you have your 3D folded pumpkins..
I did the same thing with the acorns, they are from the "Nuts About You" cutting file, but there are two more steps to creating those.. You have to use the knife tool in your SIL Designer Edition software (if this is the software you are using) and cut one off the branch :)  oh, and because there are two pieces to them, I placed the cuts together in the software, filled em with color, printed and then cut around edge, having just the one piece..
6 per acorn, 3 facing left and 3 facing right..

extreme close up :)

Those little fall leaves are also from the same branch as the acorns, but this time I used the knife tool to trim one off of the branch :)  I then copied and pasted it as many times as I needed leaves, filling them with different autumn colors.. You can see how many options you actually have with these files..

I love that adorable little pumpkin, which is actually the pumpkin  I used to create the big 3D ones.  I used one of the facial stamps from the Peachy Keen "Piles of Smiles 3/4" set on him.  The green leaves are from the Falling Leaves cutting file.. I inked the edges with green distress ink and then bent them with my fingers, to resemble real leaves..
and I love the banner cutting file, so many cute shapes to choose from.. As you can see, I couldn't just pick one.  :)

and how about that little squirrel? He's also from the "Nuts About You!" cutting file.. because I cut him so small, I pieced him together in  the software, filled him in with color, printed and just cut around the edge to save on time and my patients..LOL

I love my white marker pen.. Added faux stitching to the outside of the basket..

I needed something to keep everything sitting in the basket properly, so I added a bunch of shipping twine and then created paper swirls from black cardstock, which I actually glued some of those leaves to, creating the illusion of there being lots of layers..

Now, for supplies used to create this project:

Silhouette Designer edition software
Silhouette Cameo
Canon home printer

black and white cardstock
Digital papers

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon cutting files:

and for that adorable facial expression on my pumpkin, I used Peachy Keens "Piles of Smiles 3/4"..

PK-145 Piles of Smiles 3/4″
I absolutely adore these cute faces :)

All righty then fellow hoppers.. Your next hop stop will be Emily's blog.

I want to thank you for stopping by and remember to leave a comment for your chance to win a gift certificate to either Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon or Peachy Keen Stamps :)
Till Next time, Hope you have a scrap-tastic week
