Here is my take on our sketch: I did flip it on its side..
We were to scrap about ourselves in our own style.. I don't feel like I have a specific style, so I decided that this layout represents me..
I'm a mom, a wife and big fan of Disney Movies.. This was a fun opportunity for me to use my Toy Story cartridge for the first time.. and I know I misspelled BABIES, but it was on purpose..LOL

we also decided to have 10 questions that we asked all of our design team members to answer.. I had a lot of fun answering them..LOL

1. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Why?

pink: I love the soft color of pink

2. What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I am not a blonde in real life and I love to play Euchre..LOL

3. What 5 things are always on your crafting table?

4. Your go-to embellishment is ..
.
*White liquid pearls

5. What is your all-time favorite crafting tool?

Cricut Imagine:  Makes things come together so much faster.

6. Tell us about your family .. first in one word. Then in a sentence or two.

*Loved:
They are my everything and I would do anything for anyone of them.

7. What is your dream vacation?

I've met online the last few years :)

A Little Prima goes a long way-DT for YMH

wow!! Another Monday :)
I have a love/hate relationship with Mondays..LOL
I love Mondays cause I get to share a project with you all that I create as my design team project for Your Memories Here but I hate it since it comes right after Sunday, my relax and create day..LOL
but anyhow.. let me share a little layout I created using some of Prima's Sparkling Spring papers.. This layout measures 12x12 but I used papers from a 6x6 stack.. love that I don't have to waste paper by using the smaller sheets..

Here is project:
I started off with a piece of 12x12 white cardstock.. Grabbed one of the masks from Prima 8x8 mask set.. placed it one the cardstock and took some Spun Sugar distress ink and an ink applicator and started rubbing ink all over the edges, then added small drops of white liquid pearls to accent the masking.. creating what I'd like to call a pretty cool frame around the photo mat..LOL

I also attached string of pearl with Helmars Gemstone glue..love that stuff, dries absolutely clear..

I also added some Prima flowers and leaves. accenting it all with some Prima Say it with Pearls..

All right then fellow scrappers.. That's my Monday project for this week.. I know last week I promised a video of my finished mini album which I had posted photos of the last few weeks, but I haven't had a minute alone to make it..So, I will try my hardest next week on my day off to get that video created..

I am also submitting this to the Sketch challenge over at Frosted Designs..

and before I forget, There are still spots available at the Sweet Retreat in Pittsburgh, but it's coming up soon.

A sweet retreat with Prima Educators
Cari Fennell and Sharon Laakkonen.
A weekend of creative fun, friends and food (Sweets!)

Celebrate Spring- DT for Whimsical Wednesdays

WoooHooo..Happy Hump day ladies.. I'm so freaken glad its already Wednesday, since I got a whole weekend off to look forward to.. my plans are to scrap, scrap and scrap the whole weekend away..LOL  But, before I get carried away lets get to today's post shall we..
Us girls over at Whimsical Wednesdays are having out Wednesday reveal today and for today's theme, we "Celebrate Spring!".. You can make any project be it a card, scrapbook layout or home decor.. I chose to get get Cricut happy and make a spring themed scrapbook layout.. I had a lot of fun putting together these cute little critters from the "Create a Critter" cartridge.. I also found a photo of my daughter when she was just about three years old and she is a May baby, so it was perfect!!
I am how ever sad to say that this will be my last post for Whimsical Wednesdays.

Here is my layout:

OUT FOR PUBLICATION

I'm so delighted how this layout turned out.. Everything you see has been printed on white cardstock using my Cricut Imagine.. I love my Imagine and couldn't imagine scrapping without it..LOL
for a few close ups:
I have pop dotted mostly everything, plus added some white liquid pearls to accent the half circle..

I also did a lot of chalking on this layout..
Everything you see has been highlighted with chalk to give it more dimension.

I have to admit, I was a little torn between a few different sentiments, but decided to go with the "So Stinkin Cute!" Which can be found on the Whimsical Fun collection volume 1.. So many cute sentiments for any occasion in the collection..

Well ladies.. That's my Wednesday project for this week.. I'm so glad you stopped by today to check out my design team project for Whimsical Wednesdays.. Do stop by and check out what the rest of our amazingly talented ladies have created for this challenge..

Family Vacation Mini - YMH dt project

Happy Monday fellow crafters..  I started a family vacation mini a few weeks ago and have been show casing the pages every Monday as my design team project for Your Memories Here..

I'm loving this Windsor stack  (its on sale by the way) I got from YMH, it has some amazing papers inside, most of them are embossed with golds, browns, blacks and purples.. plus, I don't have to worry about coordinating cardstock cause it comes with that as well.. Making my job a whole lot easier :)..

I got the cover done yesterday and just went a little crazy with the gold stickles..LOL

I cut a piece of clear plastic that was actually a cover to one of my paper stacks, what a way to recycle..
I then took a stamp and some black ink, stamped on the edges with a floral print.. covered the middle with some of the paper from the Windsor Collection, found the chipboard title in my stash of goodies, added some purple hydrangeas, little white roses and green leaves.. final touches, I added some drops with gold stickles and some Prima E-Line gems..

For the first pages on the inside:
For this page I added some of the big roses that came in my Prima Grab bag, plus some of the mini purple roses, which accented nicely with the bigger ones.. I also added some leaves, which I dabbed with some gold paint.. I did stamp the edges of the pages with and edge stamp: Architectural Trims by Tattered Angles. which I then added some white pearl drops to accent them..

for this page, I added some journaling tags which I have written on, but since I'm not to happy with hand writing, I will keep them hidden..LOL  Here you can see more of the mini roses, leaves and the stamped trim.

After we were on the road for two days, we finally reached out destination. Dubuque, Iowa..  Our kids were so tired but we got them up early so we could head off to meet their relatives.. I once again used the purple hydrangeas, white mini roses and leaves.. I also used E-line pearls for the middle of the flowers..

and finally this is one of the last pages I have done (for now), still have a few to go.. and yes, my daughter is flicking me the bird..LOL  I kept telling her to smile at the camera, remind you this is about 6am after we drove for two days from Florida to Iowa.. She wasn't very happy..LOL  I covered her little gesture with a chipboard sticker..LOL    My boys are on the little clear acetate sheet I added in the middle..

All right then fellow crafters, thats my Monday post for this week.. Do stop by next week and I'll have a video walk through of the whole finished album..
Thank you all for stopping by today and checking out what I've been creating..

Count Your Blessings- Sous sketch reveal

Another week flew by! How time flies when your having fun..LOL  Us girls over at SOUS have been having some fun with a sketch that our designer Sandi Clarkson created for us.. When I first seen it, I thought to take some doilies and flowers, but then I decided to do a little cricut on there instead and use one of my all time favorite cartridges, which is the "Country Life" cart..luv luv luv it.. I wish they would create more like it but make it for the Imagine instead, yea yea that's the ticket..LOL
Dont' mind my mindless rambling on about a whole lot-a nothing..LOL
So, here is my take on this weeks Sketch:

The prints and colors are all printed using the Cricut Imagine, Kate's kitchen and Imagine more cartridges.. plus of course, I used Country Life for the barn, lambs and sun..
Here is the sketch:

and I have a few close ups:

I actually cut three lambs, since I have three kids :)

The barn represents out home, even though we don't live on the farm.. I've been dying to use this cute barn cut and now was as good of an opportunity as any..
I also did a lot of faux stitching, to help make the layout feel a little more country.

As for the supplies used:

Cricut Imagine
Cricut Craftroom: designing the layout

Cricut Imagine cartridges:
Kate's Kitchen and Imagine More

Regular Cricut cartridges:
George and Basic shapes: rectangle
Country Life: Barn, Lambs and sun
Love you A Latte: Marquee

White cardstock, black fine tip maker, flowers (Iamroses), glue dots and chalks..

Well ladies, I think that does it again for me for today.. I want to thank you all so much for taking the time to stop by and check out what I created as my take on our this weeks sketch.. Hope you can find the time to stop by Stuck On U Sketches and check out what the rest of our amazingly talented design team have created using the same sketch, oh and we have a few new designers as well, so loads of talent at SOUS..
Hope everyone has a wonderfully scrappy weekend

Scraproom re-do..

Happy Sunday ladies..
as some of you know, I have not posted any craft related projects in a few days and it's all because I've been re-doing my little scrap of heaven..LOL  Hubby and I have been working hard the last few days, well since Thursday actually..  It was a lot of work packing everything and putting it all away for the re-do.
We did our bedroom as well, so that was kind of where the inspiration came from
so, here are the before pics of my room:

This was taken a few yrs ago..when I first took over this room.

Here I have started emptying the big bookshelf that was holding all of my papers..
 I have stuff every where.
my stacks of goodies after I got them all packed and put away.

more stuff, along with my tape roll and paint can..LOL

and my kitty who has to stick his nose into everything..LOL
but the stuff is about to get ripped off of the walls and the Pink is out-a-here..

and so, with a few days worth of hard labor, this is what I ended up with:

Its still a work in progress.
I need a new curtain rod and curtains, plus I want to add picture frames to the walls.. Those final little touches are missing is what I'm trying to say..LOL

My computer and scrap area.. I'm so happy with this, everything in arms reach..Wooo Hooo..LOL
I still have a short black rod that needs to be put up by my computer so I can hang some stuff off it and then I need to clean up above the big bookshelf..its too cluttered for me right now :)

My Primas all stored away nicely, plus my photo frame that needs hanging up.. I just tucked in the back for safe storage so no one would break it..

My collection of flowers, some of my ribbons and my Cricut Imagine..
The cartridges are on the shelf right above it, but I'm going to have to move those since I'm such a shorty and I can't get to them..LOL   I love the fact that I finally got my ribbon holder up on the wall..

The top shelf..
Hubby put is up so high (LOL) that I decided to use it to show case all of my mini albums.. I was shocked to find how many I actually I had.. The most precious ones are the ones that were made for me..
Thank you ladies!!

Then we come to the problem wall..LOL

I have this little DVD shelf my hubby had built for the boys when they were small and we kept all of their Disney movies on there, but as they got older we added them to the big bookshelf downstairs in our living area..  I use it to hold my Cricut Cartridge cases..I thought about painting it brown since it will be up against the white wall, if I decided to keep this wall white that is..
I also have my old desk (wooden one) in here and I need to empty that and put it into storage, since I'm not using that one anymore.. and finally I have a big white thingy in here from our kitchen.. When we had our kitchen renovated a few years back, they put a removable cabbonit thingy where the dishwasher was suppose to go and I've had it up in here since we didn't need it downstairs..  But, now its got to go as well..takes up too much room..
I decided to leave this wall white, but now that I've been sitting in here I'm debating on painting it brown as well.. this is a long skinny room, so I'm afraid too much dark paint will make this room seem even smaller than it really it.. Need to think of something..LOL

All right then ladies..That's my scraproom re-do..
I'm so happy with it all and cant' wait to get creating again.. I've been having serious withdrawals the last few days..LOL
Thank you all so much for stopping by today !!

Going Green challenge- Whimsical Wednesday reveal

Happy Hump day ladies..
I'm counting the days till Saturday and this reveal means that I'm day closer..LOL
My hubby was a sweet heart last Saturday and said " I wanna go spend some money!"  I jumped on that boat before asking too many questions..LOL
He knew I've been wanting to re-do our bedroom and my scraproom for the longest time (this bright pink wall in my scraproom has got to go) and treated me to some amazing new furniture and paint.. Our bedroom is almost done, just needs a few little odd's and ends, like photo frames on the wall and a new curtain..  But this Saturday, I'm re-doing my whole scraproom..I'm so excited and actually told Stephanie over at Whimsical Wednesdays that I would have to skip this weeks reveal since most of my crafty supplies would be packed away ..
But, I just had to make something quick before I had the chance of packing it all..
So, here is my card for today's Going Green Challenge, for the challenge you need to have something green on your card..

I once again was very brave and grabbed some of my Graphic45 papers.. Once upon a Spring time .. I think its fitting to use since spring is right around the corner..
I fussy cut some of the flowers and leaves, plus added two springs with punched flowers glued to the ends of them..

and used one of the cutest sentiments stamps ever..

Thought it was perfect with the little fairy talking to the frog..
Kind of like meeting your prince charming..LOL

Well ladies, this is my last post for this week.. I will be fully packed away by Friday.. I honestly have no clue where I'm going to put all of this stuff while I re-do my room...LOL  and I already told hubby that were never moving since we own too much stuff..LOL
Do stop by Whimsical Wednesdays to see what the rest of our amazing design team has created for this challenge..
I hope everyone has a wonderfully creative week..

Mini in the Making- DT for YMH

Spring is in the air and I got a mini album started..LOL  I've decided to not show you the whole mini, but one page at a time.. kind of like a teaser in a way, its because I'm going to take is slow with this mini and actually put a lot of heart into the making of it, so this is the only page I have done so far..  You'll get an other sneak peek next Monday .
So, I decided to get this 8x8 Windsor stack by S.E.I (its on sale) cause I love the color purple.. I had no idea what was in store for me,  but once I got a good look at this paper collection, I fell in love.. OMG! the embossing on all of these papers and the amazing colors..
As soon as I flipped through it, I knew I had to make a mini album with it..  Even though the papers measure 8x8, I decided to go with a 5 x 7..   I had run out of chipboard, so grabbed a few empty cereal boxes that I had been saving and cut those down to size.. Some grey cardstock for the base, inked the edges with black distress ink and then started cutting and layering the Windsor papers..
Here is the first two pages of my mini:

for some of close ups of the mini :

The photos are of my daughter Amber back in 2007 while we were on vacation in Iowa.. we had a small kitchen in out hotel room and I made us a big breakfast every morning.. This photo is of her eating pancakes..She loves them by the way and always puts a smile on her face..

I decided to stick with the purple colors and grabbed some these Purple Prima Hydrangeas and then purple mini roses.. I found some tiny button brads in my stash and thought they would make a cute center for them..
Then added some leaves, gold ribbon and made swirls out of purple wire that I also found in my stash..LOL

I used my MS edge punch to make some decorative photo corners, stamped the title and then added some drops of Purple Stickles for a finishing touch to corners and to the centers of the stamped flowers.
I also added some punched butterflies, which I punched out of the papers, making sure I got lots of details onto them from the papers and then added some Prima Say it In Crystals to the centers of the butterflies.

I decided to add a hand made transparency tag to the middle of the two pages.. stamped it and added a photo mat to the middle.. I just have to rummage through these photos I plan on using and find just the right one to add to this tag.. I had to put it on the white cardstock so you could see the details..LOL
finally some white binder rings and large purple eyelets and were all set..

wow!! that was a lot of work, but so well worth it at the end and I cant' wait to start on another page..
I want to thank you all so much for stopping by today and checking out what I created as my design project for Your Memories Here..
I hope everyone has a wonderfully Scrap Happy Week..
hugs
