Paint Ball Layout-haaste#10

On our vacation to Florida last summer to visit family and friends, my guys got the chance to go paintballing. Oh! they had so much fun. I really wanted to make a FUN layout..with lots of color! I used a lot of the blue, cause the balls they were using were blue.
Here is the left side of the two page layout.. My boys are in black and their twin cousins are in white.. OH! and their cousin Kaia joined in on the fun with her friend, they are in grey!
this is the right side of the layout. these are my guys.. Adam is on the top and Aaron is on the bottom, all masked and ready to go.. My hubby is on the bottom left pointing to his shirt where he got hit...LOL
I wasn't sure how I wanted to title this layout, so I this is what I came up with.. I think its cute and fun..

here is a close up of hubby pointing to his spot..LOL He's just a big baby..LOL
close up of my guys! Aaron on the left, Adam in the middle and my hubby Mike on the right. remind you this is mid June in Florida, I'm sure they were dying from the heat..
Poor Aaron(on the left in black) got it right on the mask and it splattered through.. Funny! The boys in the white t's are cousins Damian and Julian.
Here hubby is getting everyone ready..load em up boys! and girls..LOL

I'm starting our family vacation album. Here is the very first layout I made and its us leaving for home..LOL Home is where the heart is..LOL
We had a wonderful time, but coming home is always nice.

BAR-B-Q word album-*photo heavy

My best friends birthday is June 26th and I really wanted to make her something special and personalized. last summer we were privileged enough to be able to spend 3 weeks in Florida with our friends and family. I added photos of our cookouts in this album.
I knew I wanted something to top off the BARBQ and came up with the "SUMMER 08".
I got the title from the shirt she is wearing.. it has Tweety bird on it.
which I highlighted with a flower silhoutte, that I stickled with red
She loves cats, so I wanted to incorporated that into this layout. My DD saved this cat.
just another Kat with the cat photo..LOL
I can't remember when I had laughed as much as I did that night.. so, thats where I got that title from. I didn't add a photo of the other pics on the page, cause she loves giving the camera the middle finger..LOL
This is kat with her hubby Brian.. My first attempt at making the kitty from Hello Kitty font..
stickled it with red as well..
hugs and kisses stickled with cinnamon
the happy couple..LOL
shes' giving the camera a finger in this photo as well, but I decided to cover it with the rolling pin..LOL I added the text "attitude adjuster" to the rolling pin..
just a close up of the names I stickled with black and red.

Supplies used:
  • Cricut cart: Hello Kitty Font
  • Cricut cart: Home accent
  • Cricut cart: Graphically speaking

Stars of a different kind..

I have been wanting to post this for the longest time and just kept forgetting..but today I was making these for some ATC cards and decided to take pics as I was making them.. quick and easy..
I have more of these stars on my "RUSTIC"layout..
Here's a quick tutorial on how I made my 3d decorative stars.. I used the George cart star.. you can cut any size..
  • Just cut any size star- I used the cut on my George and Basic shapes cart.
start by folding all sides like this.. then push in the shorter side..and give the longer tips a quick strong crease..

once you have all the sides folded, just push in the short sides .. and there you have it..your star is finished.. you can cut it with any paper and any size.. for more dramatic aged effect, distress the creases and then file them down.. These are great for wall hangings as well.. Or black chalk in the creases for more debt..

Blue Jean, Beauty Queen..

I love this school portrait of my DD and her friend.. She is 17 yrs old in this picture..and she's the young lady on the left..LOL
I wanted to make a denim based layout, so I found some light blue papers in my stash and aged them a little using light blue and white ink pads..
here is a close up the BEAUTY QUEEN.. I like how it came out..I stickled it a little with baby pink and then light blue stickle..
For the Jeans, I distressed some dark blue paper with black distressing ink and then layered it with light blue and white ink.. just lightly rubbed it on the paper. I then added some silver stickle dots and a little black stickle.
This is just another close up the the title..I used Poohfont-wood cut.. I think it has a nice touch for denim..LOL

supplies used:
  • Cricut cart: Pooh Font Set- top title: Blue Jean and bottom title: Beauty
  • Cricut cart: Opposites Attract- word: Queen
  • Cricut cart: Paper Doll Dress up- Pants and crowns
  • Cricut cart: Home Accent- photo corners and flourishes
  • Paper Pizaaz (HOTP) Ephemera background papers- light blue

  • pearl drops by Basic Grey-mauve
  • Stickle: pink, baby blue, silver and black
